Privacy Policy

MedPrep ("we", "us") is a mobile app that helps students prepare for medical licensing exams such as the USMLE — practicing multiple-choice questions, competing in quiz battles, finding study buddies, joining study groups, and tracking progress. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.

• Account info — email address (or the private, app-specific identifier from Sign in with Apple / Google), display name, handle, and profile photo. You may sign in as a guest, in which case we create an anonymous account with no email.
• Study profile — your target exam and level, subjects, study style, preferred time, target score and exam date, and short bio.
• Learning data — quiz attempts and answers, accuracy, XP, level, streaks, achievements, daily-challenge progress, and leaderboard/battle results.
• Content you create — community posts, comments, poll votes, study-group memberships, chat and group messages, and any photos you attach.
• Social graph — study buddies and friend requests you send, accept or decline, and users you block or report.
• Device & usage data — a Firebase Installation ID, push-notification token, OS version, and basic analytics events (screen views, taps on core actions). We do not collect precise location.

• To run the core service: serve your question bank, score quizzes, match you with study buddies, rank leaderboards, and deliver messages.
• To send notifications (friend requests, messages, quiz-battle invites, challenge reminders). You can turn these off in your OS settings.
• To keep the platform safe: investigate reports, enforce our Terms of Service, and prevent abuse.
• To improve the product through aggregated analytics. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share data only with the processors that power the app:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Analytics) — hosts your account, content, and analytics.
• Apple / Google sign-in — used only if you choose that option; we receive a user identifier and, if you allow it, your email and name.

We disclose data to comply with a lawful legal request, or to protect the rights, safety and property of MedPrep, our users, or the public.

• Access & export — request a copy of your data by emailing mukeshyadavwebs@gmail.com.
• Edit — open your profile to change your name, handle, photo, exam, subjects and study preferences.
• Delete — see Delete your account. We remove your profile, posts, comments, messages, learning data and uploaded photos from our active systems within 30 days. Backups are purged on a rolling 90-day cycle.
• Block — use the menu on any user to block them; blocked users cannot contact you.
• Withdraw consent — sign out at any time.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, content is removed within 30 days. Anonymous analytics (event counts) are retained for up to 14 months.

MedPrep is intended for users 17 and older (medical and pre-medical students). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has signed up, please email mukeshyadavwebs@gmail.com and we will delete the account. See also our Child Safety Standards.

MedPrep is a study aid for exam preparation. Its questions, explanations and content are for educational purposes only and are not medical advice. Always rely on qualified instructors and official exam materials for clinical and licensing decisions.

Our data is processed on Google Cloud infrastructure. By using the app you consent to this processing.

If we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app.
